And so many hours working in photoshop begin for our Oyster Festival Window (don’t panic, we’re not adding silly moustaches).
Check out our windows from tomorrow 🤞

Happy International Cat Day!

Marsha, the resident VC Jones family cat, has enjoyed some lovely offcuts of cod and haddock and is now sleeping off her lunch 😻

She attributes her shiny fur to her regular supply of quality cod.

Mayday is the international code word to signal a life threatening emergency, it’s also the name of the RNLI’s annual fundraising campaign.

As you might know, we are independent of the government, and have relied on donations from the public to keep us afloat since we started lifesaving in 1824.

It is no exaggeration to say that we now have the best equipment and training in the world, and are proud to have saved more than 140,000 lives around the coast of Britain and Ireland.

This year the theme is the Mayday Mile. Whitstable RNLI crew member Kellie Gray will be running or walking a mile around Whitstable every day in May ... in full lifesaving kit ! Please stop and say a socially distant hello, and follow her progress on our social media pages.

The challenge starts on Saturday 1st May, why not join the crew at the Lifeboat Station at 9.30am and do the first mile with us.

Thanks for your support everyone, we really appreciate it.
